Bang & Bonsomer acquires Kiranto Foods A/S
As of 7 August 2019, Bang & Bonsomer has acquired all the shares in Kiranto Foods A/S.
Kiranto Foods A/S is a Scandinavian manufacturer of functional and spice blends with production facilities and offices in Farum, Denmark. Kiranto Foods A/S specialises in customised high-quality food blends for the meat and convenience food applications. Innovation, quality, knowledge and service are important and fundamental values for the company in order to offer new and unique product solutions to its customers.
Bang & Bonsomer is a materials technology company and a distributor of a wide range of industrial raw materials and additives in Finland, Scandinavia, the CIS and the Baltics. Bang & Bonsomer has seven industry oriented business units specialised in sales and services for industry focused applications. In 2018, the Group had a turnover of €170 M and more than 300 employees.
The acquisition strengthens Bang & Bonsomer’s position in the meat and convenience food industry. The acquisition will enable Kiranto Foods A/S to further expand its sales in the Nordic countries and will provide Bang & Bonsomer with a platform to expand its other businesses in Denmark.
All employees of Kiranto Foods A/S, with the exception of former owners Anders and Kirsten Toft, will continue with Bang & Bonsomer. Kiranto Foods A/S will be merged into Bang & Bonsomer Group and Kiranto will remain a brand name for the products in Denmark.
